Story Time
I vividly remember the long conversations with friends back in 2019, where they shared their problems, doubts, and anxieties. The only thing I could suggest was, ‘maybe you could see a psychologist.’ But even for me, with a Masters degree in Psychology, suggesting therapy at €55-€100 per session, where I’m from, every week, isn’t something I'm comfortable with or that most people can afford.
Even you managed to afford it, finding a therapist (that you like) wasn't an easy task. Long, text heavy psychologist directories, with a 2000's layout and aesthetic, is not the user friendly experience we're used to. It frustrated me that, even in 2019, there wasn’t something online that was easily accessible, flexible, and truly adapted to each person’s needs.
That PROBLEM never left me, so I set my mind to build a SOLUTION.
It became my obsession.
I made my college assignments about mental health help-seeking barriers, tried to develop an app and business model during internships and companies I worked for, I even applied for and got a PhD scholarship. But it all failed. After two years of trying to bring this vision to life through academia, things didn’t work out as I had hoped. I ended up quitting the scholarship and dedicating myself to develop everything I wanted to create in an app that gave me renewed hope, Notion.
With MoodOS, I believe I’ve created something that can genuinely be helpful, but you be the judge of that. I’m sharing the Notion templates I created, here, for you!
Try them and let's improve them together, for everyone.
